I love to experiment with new tools and techniques all the time but here are some that I just keep coming back to. Here you will find the tools I use to create the large-scale charcoal pieces.

Linoleum flooring is inexpensive, durable, and the back surface is just like paper.
Charcoal is messy and vulnerable to the canvas. You can mold it and move it around. Give and take away.
Leather Chamouis allow you to shift the stark charcoal lines into gray clouds.
Although they are pink, they end up the same color as everything else. These classic erasers allow you to tighten the edges and take away what you put down.
Even when you think you are done, these electric erasers allow you to add those finishing touches that really stand out.
